William Rose

William Rose is a figurative/portrait artist who works primarily in oil, and has attracted a significant national following of corporate, institutional and private collectors. They include the Kansas City Royals, Texas A&M, Kansas State University, H&R Block, the Stowers Institute, the Archer Foundation, Clint Eastwood and other film celebrities, the Tullman Collection in Chicago, and many other private collectors across the country.

In 2016 William was commissioned by the Kansas City Royals to paint the celebrated mural for Kauffman Stadium, Forever Royal commemorating the 2015 World Series Championship. In his sports-related work prior to that he was commissioned to paint seventeen oil paintings for the new stadium at Texas A&M, and a portrait of iconic Kansas State football coach, Bill Snyder, which hangs in Kansas State’s new stadium.

Following a prestigious cover feature in 2009 with American Artist Magazine, William was asked to produce artwork for a film with the Eastwood’s, The Forger in Carmel CA.

He has been featured in national competitions and shows including Artist Magazine’s The Year’s Best Art, American Artist Magazine’s 70th Anniversary Competition, and International Artist Magazine’s Annual competition. William has numerous publication covers and features including Poets and Artists Magazine, American Artist Magazine, Blue Canvas, and was featured in the book, Strokes of Genius.

The Kansas City Star ran a feature story on William – Local Artist Catches Eye of Hollywood. He has also been featured in 435 South magazine, KC Magazine, The Independent, and KC Studio, as well as many feature spots on network television.

William was commissioned to do the cover art for Strathmore’s 400 Series Drawing Pads, the most popular artist drawing pad in the world.
