Wiktor Szostalo
Wiktor Szostalo, an internationally recognized graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, Cracow, Poland, shuttles between his St. Louis, MO and Kolobrzeg, Poland, studios and works in many media: welded stainless steel, Corten, cast glass, bronze and wood.
His meticulously woven willow and honeysuckle environmental art installations of the Tree Hugger Project have been invited to several Climate Summits and commissioned by sculpture parks around the world, among others the Pratt Institute, NY, NY; les Jardins d'Etretat, France; Forest Art Festival Darmstadt, Germany, Lebiedeva Collection, Moscow, Russia and the Center for Contemporary Art, Warsaw, Poland.
Wiktor's works, both in 2 and 3-D may take on religious, or sometimes political themes, often are humorous and even sarcastic.But they are always interactive, very colorful and full of surprises.
