Mary Frances Ballard

The paintings of Mary Frances Ballard are her personal visions of gardens.

“I want to share the feelings one has when taking a path and experiencing the quietness, the coolness of shade, the warmth of sunshine and the wonderful colors of nature. I consider my visual language to be a landscape. Some of my gardens are local and others are of places I have traveled with my camera. I seek out botanical gardens. I like the formality of some of them and I am always looking for different combinations of plants and compositions.” – Mary Frances Ballard.

She most enjoys painting on canvas and likes the large size because she would like the viewers to feel that they can walk in and be refreshed.
