Artist Statement
Inspired by nature, I enjoy creating landscape paintings that consist of many layers. Each mark, scrape and tear on the painted surface reveals the history and beauty underneath. We live in a fast paced world and many times only see what is on the surface while neglecting to look deeper for the hidden treasures beneath.
My hope is that the art I create brings the viewer into a closer looking experience and succeeds in expressing the beauty, intrigue and depth in the world around us.
Artist Bio
Currently residing in Leawood, KS, Linda enjoys creating art in her studio space, Studio Above located in the Crossroads of Kansas City, MO. She is a former manager of school programs at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and for many years enjoyed opening up the world of art to students of all ages. Linda has exhibited in solo and group shows in the Kansas City and Dallas areas with many of her works held in private collections in a variety of cities.
