JoEl Vogt
Showroom
JoEl Vogt has been an artist and art therapist for 30 years. After earning her B.A. in painting, Vogt developed an interest in more inner visioning, imagination and self-expression using art as a source of inspiration and healing for others.
Her love of nature has led her in more recent years to find a place of healing for herself and others in the outdoors. She has come full circle now as she creates landscapes mostly inspired by the nature preserve she and her husband own in the Ozarks. She looks for and creates a world of light and color, which clearly is a reflection of her inner joy and love of all that she sees around her.
“When painting impressionistic landscapes, I work to capture the mood, color and energy of a place, which change with the time of day and seasons,” says Vogt.
“Many of my most recent works take a more abstract and expressionistic view of the light and energy around us. My aim is to capture the feeling and essence of our natural surroundings and existence – perhaps more a depiction of the metaphysical than physical landscape.”
