Gerry Miller

Showroom

Painting is a process of experimentation, rejecting the obvious, and investigating the unexpected, says Gerry Miller. The imagination of the viewer as well as that of the creator plays a major role in the success of the work.

Miller is a graduate of the KU drawing and painting department. After studying and teaching in Zurich, Switzerland, in the 1960s and a 20-year residence in Newport Beach, California, she returned to Lawrence.

Her abstract painting using vibrant colors are still influenced by the California experience. Her paintings are acrylic, some combined with oil sticks.
