I paint because I like to paint.  It is the easiest and most direct route of expressing feelings that I find difficult to verbalize.  Many of my works are landscapes, still lives, or figures.  But regardless of what the subject matter, I find that it is always the emotions that the image evokes in me that I am trying to capture. The shapes, textures, colors, lights, and shadows are the notes of melody and rhythm of a composition that exalts the senses and calms the soul.  The subtleties of emotions can be felt, not described.
