Chun Wang was born in Nanjing, China, and completed his formal studies in China.
He emigrated to the U.S. in 1992. He continued to study painting and earned an MFA at the University of Missouri. Later, he pursued a career in painting and illustration full-time.
He especially loves to paint from real life.
The liveliness and the energy of his surroundings, the sky, the people, the landscape, the street scenes, and their magical and endless changes move him. He seeks to represent these subjects poetically, with emotion.
He has participated in many shows, including the Oil Painters of America annual exhibition. Several of his paintings are collected publicly and privately.
